Introduction

Curriculum and set of “ Let’s learn Engish book 1”
Icon and some classroom activities.

I - Objectives:
Students wil be able to understand well the background aims and the contents of Let’s leanr English book 1. Understanding some icons and be used activities in class.
II - Method:
Integrated, mainly communicative.
III - Teaching aids:
Set of Let’s leanr English book 1.
IV - Proceduce:
1.Teacher introduces curriculum and set of LLE- book 1.
a. Background: English is taught at primary levelfrom grade 3 to grade 5 as an optional subject.
- New National Curriculum and set of text books ( LLE-book 1 - Student book, Workbook, Teacher Guide ) will officially be started from the school year 2006 - 2007.
- The setting of time for teaching: 2 periods ( of 35 - 40 minutes) per week x 35 weeks per year = 70 periods/ year.
Aims: Develop the Ss four fundamental and simple skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing. Among them listening and speaking are focused.
- Provide for Ss a number of basic and knowledge of E as a mean of developing communication skills, including phonics, vocabulary and grammar.
- Help Ss to deal with the people, country and cultures of nations in which E is used as a native or second language.
Content: The optional curiculum of English is devedloping comunicative approach: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- Themes are basic factor to write the teaching content. The four themes are: You and Me, My School, My Family and The World Around Us.
- Under themes are topics which may be considered as units.
- Through the 12 units, Ss will be able to practise communicative competence or tasks within approximately 120 words.
- Language focus such as phonics, vocabulary and grammar are tools to build up communication skills.
2. Introduce some icons and activities in classroom and the four main chacractors through the book.

- Chacractors through the book: Ss’s book - page 9
- Classroom activities:
Stand up > < Sit down.
Open your book > < Close your book.
Go to the board
Write your name > < Erase your name
Put away your book
Listen to the question and answer.
Work in group/ Work in pair/ Work in single.
Help each other.
Correct your mistakes.
